Dota: Skeleton King
68Leoric was first seen in the Diablo game series by Blizzard, under the willing control of Lazarus. He was once a noble knight (and later a king) who protected his kingdom. But an evil chancellor had other plans, and arranged for Leoric to be dragged into hell itself. This was thousands of years ago. The skeleton king has returned from the underworld, knowing nothing of honor now. He fights relentlessly to further the causes of everything undead... including the scourge forces. Sentinels who are about to face him in the Defense of the Ancients are questioning themselves: How can we kill something that won't stay dead? They will have to answer this question soon, for Leoric the Dota Skeleton King is marching their way with an army of ghouls at his side...
Abilities
A mighty strength hero. The Dota skeleton king is not only able to absorb lots of damage, he can also come back from the dead if he meets his demise. This would lead players to think they could ignore Leoric... They would be fools. He also brings with him the ability to take out any other character, and has a nasty-edged blade for anyone who might decide to come close to him.
Reincarnation: The skeleton king is able to get some use of the last of his mana, even beyond the grave. He reconstructs his bony form and rises up to fight yet again. Unfortunately, he won't have the energy to do this should King Leoric spend all of his mana before he dies.
Vampiric Aura: Any allies near the giant skeleton will benefit from this. It's an aura that grants a small amount of life leeching to their attacks, similar to those weapons from Diablo which he first appeared in. It stacks with all other lifesteal forms, including the aura provided by Vladmir's Offering.
Critical Strike: Any attacks from Leoric the Dota Skeleton King have a chance of doing additional damage. His blade is serrated in a way that can do serious damage to the enemy depending on the angle they were hit. In fact, he can sometimes do more than triple damage!
Hellfire Blast: This is proof that the Skeleton King came from the underworld itself, or can at least control some of it's power. Leoric is able to channel dark, reddish energy from himself into his blade, and a swift strike to the air sends it hurling towards his intended target. The unlucky defender will burst into flames, take damage, and be stunned for several seconds. Leoric can use this ability constantly, but must use some self control to make sure he has enough mana left for Reincarnation.
