Dota: Mortred

She was once a night elf Warden, but shunned by her companions due to her liking of violence. She eventually turned her sights to the scourge, seeing a common interest in causing extreme pain and suffering. The years she spent as a hermit training in the Ashenvale Forest of Kalimdor were put to great use by the scourge. She quickly earned the nickname "the Phantom Assassin", due to her ability to blend into the surroundings and attack unexpectedly. The Lich King favored her and granted her with an exceptional blade, imbued with magical powers. These allow her to teleport to any other creatures and become a shadow itself. Will she destroy her former sisters in the sentinel forces during the Defense of the Ancients?

She's a very popular hero with the crowd who is after large amounts of kills. The Dota Mortred hero is feared at high levels due to her high damage potential with her ultimate Critical Strike ability. However, she's quite fragile, and dependent on her 15% chance to strike for quadruple damage to win fights.

Coup de Grace: The phantom assassin has long trained at her craft. Mortred watches for opportunities, waiting for anyone she is fighting to make a mistake. She's able to lunge her dagger into vital areas of her enemies, causing a large amount of pain. This ability gives her a 15% chance to double, triple, or even quadruple damage on every hit.

Blur: A natural level of evasion for the Dota Mortred hero. It doesn't stack with evasion granted from items like the butterfly, but there is an additional bonus to leveling this skill. She also blends into the landscape, becoming nothing more than a shadow. Players often won't even know the phantom assassin is attacking them until it's too late. This shadow blur is countered by having aura items, so try not to buy any as her if it's possible.

Phantom Strike: Allows Mortred to teleport to another character on the battlefield. If she chose an enemy, she'll attack it with unnatural speed. She gets a bonus of 100% speed for the next four attacks. Leveling this skill will greatly improve it's cooldown and let it be used several times a minute.

Stifling Dagger: She can toss a dagger at anyone. This does a minor amount of damage to heroes, and enough to kill a creep if timed properly. Anyone hit by a stifling dagger from Mortred gets their movement speed cut in half for several seconds.

The phantom assassin is related to another playable character in this warcraft map. The dota hero Shendelzare was her sister, and slain by Mortred in the past. She was given the form of the spirit of vengeance and hunts after the PA.
