Dota: Lanaya

She was the apprentice of a protoss templar, coming from the far-off world of Aiur once it was destroyed by zerglings in the Brood War. He crash landed into the night elven lands, and took the child of a elven couple to train as a way of repaying them for tending his wounds. While he eventually succumbed to his fate, the templar had taught the Dota Lanaya character much in his time. Even though she is now much older, she still fights using the templar's teachings as an assassin, and has some mastery over psionic energies. She is the only night elf on all of Azeroth to have any psionic abilities. The elders of the Sentinel forces have urged her to fight in the Defense of the Ancients, and she is looking forward to seeing what damage she can cause in the upcoming battle.

This hero is one many players choose, but few use effectively. She's an agility hero often refered to as a carry, but also very fragile in spite of her damage absorption & hiding abilities. She excels both as a support character with her traps, and in one versus one fights with her other abilities.

Psionic Trap: The Dota Lanaya hero is able to spread these around the battlefield. She can also choose when to activate them. Anyone caught by an active trap have their movement speed greatly reduced for several seconds. They have a limited vision, which can be used to better reveal the positions of enemy heroes if psionic traps are placed strategetically.

Psi Blades: Lanaya focuses her psionic power on her weapons themselves. They are able to attack from farther away, gaining more range. The true power of this is the spell that extends them even further than enemies might be aware. Anything in a straight line directly away from her target will take additional damage.

Meld: The templar assassin can become one with the wilderness. She stands silent, invisible, waiting for an enemy to come near or perhaps simply hiding from them in plain sight. Anyone she strikes to break Meld will take additional damage and have their armor temporarily softened.

Refraction: This skill allows the Dota Lanaya hero to both absorb damage from any sources that might do her harm, and deal more with the next several strikes. Some of the advanced Templar Assassins keep their triggers on the refraction hotkey, hoping to use their low health to bait an enemy into their doom. Both types of instances of refraction are independent of each other. She gets 5 charges of damage absorption at maximum level of this ability, and 5 damage boosts.

Magina, Syllabear, Darkterror, Clinkz, Voljin, Mortred, Anubseran, Ursa, Necro
