Dota: Huskar

By Volty

This sentinel hero is part of the Troll Darkspear tribe, who have a reputation of being one of the most savage creatures in all of Azeroth. Their ferociousness even brings fear to the shambling masses of the undead scourge who he defends in the battle of the ancients. The sacred warrior's abilities tend to shorten his own lifespan in hopes of doing even greater damage to his enemies. This is not a completely foolish idea, as the berserkers have the ability to quickly mend their own wounds.

Huskar is not afraid of death, and runs towards it willingly, if it means a chance of victory on the battlefield. Unfortunately, this same attitude also belonged to many of the other Darkspear trolls, of whom there are only a handful left in the world.

Berserker skills

Huskar is special compared to many of the other dota heroes. He has a ranged attack, but also uses strength as his main attribute. This gives him a large survivability boost over many of the other characters, even before his extremely fast regeneration skill is considered. Many of the sacred warrior skills will leave him at lower health, or perform better based on how damaged he is.

Inner Vitality: Regenerates a small portion of the target's health every second. The amount is tripled if the dota hero is at low hp, and is based on their primary attribute score. This skill gets exceedingly more powerful later in the Dota game.

Burning Spear: Adds a small bit of the berserker's life force into his attacks, and lighting it on fire. Anyone struck is panged with damage for several seconds... losing much more health than the price the troll paid of his own.

Berserker's Blood: Sacred warrior's attack speed and damage are enhanced if he's been damaged. This continues to grow in power as Huskar's dwindles down.

Life Break: The ultimate skill of the troll berserker. While it costs a large amount of his health to use, his enemy feels the same pain and is slowed by the shock. Huskar can learn to activate this ability at a lower price to himself after practicing during the Defense of the Ancients.
